We always struggle with what to do on Mother's day and Father's day. This year, the kids and I decided to surprise Adam with a day to the Ft. Wayne zoo. We went as a family a few years ago, and have since gone back with just the kids and I along with friends. Adam had mentioned in the past that he would like to go again, so we picked adventure for the theme of the day. We had donuts in the car and got an early start, arriving just after the park opened. There was a slight chance of rain (what day doesn't this year!), but overall was the perfect zoo day! We packed a lunch and after visiting half the park, had our lunch at a picnic table by the car, before heading in and seeing the rest. After our day at the zoo, we headed over to Adam's parent's house for a fun cook out!

Father's Day Fun
There were lots of adorable zoo babies all over the place!
There are 4 different "rides" to take such as the carousel, a train, a sky safari, and a log ride. You can buy a ride pass, buy 10 get 2 rides free, which works out really well for the 4 of us to go.
The kids were very excited to feed a 1 week old giraffe!
